Things you did not know about Facebook!

Yes. We all know Facebook I guess. However, there are always new people coming online every day, having their first experience online, just like the way you did. So if you already know about Facebook, then you can skip this, but I am pretty sure there are some people who do not yet know about Facebook Probably some young teens. Besides that, there may be some things you didn’t know about Facebook, and maybe you may know it here.
So What Is Facebook?
Facebook is the number one social media on the internet. At least currently, although it has been for more than last 5 years. Facebook is a website where you sign up and meet a lot of people from different parts of the world. You make friends with these people, you can interact with them, you share your interests, and do many more things.
That is just a taste of the pudding. Facebook offers way more than this. Before I go further, the Facebook domain name has been more than 22 years old and is very trusted by almost everyone using it worldwide.
A Little History Of Facebook
Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 at Cambridge Massachusetts in the United States. But it has it’s head quarters in Menlo Park, California, United States. Facebook was originally started by Zuckerberg to be used to communicate with his fellow college students. It didn’t go worldwide then.
Later on, then Facebook went worldwide.
Here is a picture of how Facebook looked like in the beginning.
Facebook has evolved so much since then. Today here is the user interface of Facebook.
Joining Facebook
Joining Facebook is as simple as entering your name, email and few other details on the sign up page and then clicking the Register button.
You may be asked to confirm your email. But after that, then that’s it. You are inside the most popular social network in the world.
What You Can Do In Facebook
Facebook is much more than a place where you can go to make friends and chat with friends, leave private messages, and so on. You can use Facebook for business. In fact, Facebook is one of the best places to promote your business online.
Ways To Promote Your Business Through Facebook
Facebook Pages
You can create a Facebook page for your business and promote the page to get people like it. Once anyone likes your Facebook page, they will receive whatever message or updates you make on your Facebook page. They will get notified when you make new notifications, etc.
You can promote your Facebook page manually or you can apply paid promotion to your Facebook page. In this method, Facebook helps you promote your page to its users, and you pay a little fee for that. This can save you time.
Your Facebook page is like your website and with your Facebook page, I can say that it is optional to create a website for your business. Although you can go ahead and create one as no one is restricting you from doing that, but the Facebook page could serve as an alternative to your website.
One reason why it could be easier to use a Facebook page in place of a website is that, there are already lots of users who visit Facebook daily so it could be easier for your page to be found, and your business found too.
Facebook Groups
Facebook Group is more like a community. With a Facebook group, you can create a community for your brand or business, where interested people could join and interact with themselves. Sometimes it is hard to choose which is better to create. A Facebook page or a Facebook group?
In my opinion, It is preferable to create both. For instance, I have both for my website.
A Difference Between Facebook Page and Facebook Group
The difference between a Facebook page and the Facebook group is that, on a Facebook page, only you, can create post updates, people who like your Facebook page and receive updates, can only comment on your post updates.
However, on a Facebook group, you can give the community members the ability to create posts.
Facebook Marketing For Business Owners
Alright. Facebook is another great marketing instrument if you really want to get your business known to the world.
Here is how. Facebook automatically tracks users action through cookies. Some people refer to this as pixels.
Here is a typical example of how this works. You can give this a trial.
Facebook shows you adverts as you use the platform to chat with your friends. Here is an example of an ad on facebook
Notice the red circled sponsored word inside the ad photo? That shows you that the post is not coming from one of your friendInstead this post is coming from Facebook in an effort to market a product to you, which it thinks you are interested in.
How Does Facebook Know What You Are Interested In?
This is a continuation of what I am trying to explain previously. After you use Facebook, and then you visit another site, Facebook detects the type of website you visited through the cookies. When next you log back in on Facebook to use it, you will get similar adverts that relate to the type of website you just visited while you were not on Facebook.
Keep in mind that this advert is not Facebook’s advert. However Facebook is helping businesses who paid them for promotion, to get known to the world, especially the people who they think should be interested in them.
Facebook Ad is so powerful for the marketers and business owners to the extent that it even asks them of the gender which they want to display their ads to, the age range, location and other things necessary.
If you haven’t joined Facebook yet, you may want to visit Facebook.com today, sign up and get a taste of the powerful platform. I can bet you that many of your friends are already using it.

How to get 100+ Votes on Inbound

This is not a complex, statistical study but a basis to understand the types of content that work on Inbound. We’ve analyzed everything with 100 or more votes at Inbound.org to get an idea of the topics that get the most attention and upvotes. Content that works at Inbound.org will most likely click with your target audience as well. This analysis will be of great help for anybody looking for topics to woo the B2B audience. Existing work on the topic? We’ve tried searching for posts on similar topics but I found just a couple. This one barely scratches the surface. It makes some valid points like the length or the person submitting the posts matters but most of these findings are not practical or makes much sense. For example, the posts submitted in the month of January will do well or title length is everything. There’s another analysis but with similar results though it mentions that AMA and Google related topics get the most views. We are more interested in the real thing i.e. ...
